James D. Cowan, Jr is a creative based in Cleveland, Ohio with experience as an architectural designer and graphic designer . He believes mindful design creates purpose, identity and impactful solutions. His enthusiasm for all facets of design influences his approach to develop holistic principles. Collaboration driven by principles of inclusion and understanding the clients need shapes his design process.
Among being on the path to licensure as a registered architect, community engagement has become an increased focused. Initiating programs that increase awareness of design opportunities for historically disadvantaged communities and involvement with mentorship programs that promote equity for future generations are few ways he plans to impact this design industry.
